Toulon is a modern stallion with a lot of presence and hardness and a large size. He disposes of three excellent gaits.
Toulon’s father, Heartbreaker, is known as an exceptional jumper.In Belgium he created a furore in the seven year old cycle and in that same class he finished 4th in the World Championship in Lanaken (B). Later he was brought out internationally under Peter Geerinckx and he won several G.P.’s, with a 4th place in the Aachen Grand Prix as the most striking performance.
Among Heartbreaker’s descendants there are already several international jumpers, like Quartz Music, Quasimodo van de Molendreef, Quinten, Razia van het Odeveld…
Nikita, Toulon’s mother is a daughter of Jokinal de Bornival, who, in his turn, is a son of Almé and Lady Wokina. Under Piet Mooy, Laday Wokina won everything, from hunting tracks until power tests.
Grandmother Hayland is a Lurano daughter. Toulon inherited his large movements from her.
Great-grandmother Loteuse (V. Uppercut xx) with Walter Van Bunder, jumped successfully in L.R.V. heavy, some twenty years ago. She was one of the best jumpers in the “Waasland”.
Toulon himself has begun his jumping career well. In the conventional 4 year old cycle he was correct 8 times out of 8.
In the 5year old cycle, he scored a double zero 8 times out of 8. In the Belgian Championship in Gesves, Toulon became 7th and he was 16th in the World Championship for young horses in Lanaken.
At the age of 6 Toulon ran double correct 5 times in the classic cycle.
On the Show Day of young BWP horses in Sint-Niklaas, his son Beckham was declared yearling of the day. The foal championship in Evergem crowned his son Cupido van het Eikenhof vice-champion. Toulon’s descendants inherit very good jumping qualities. In the Free Jumping Contest in Evergem, his offspring took both the first and the second place. Four of his descendants were selected for Free Jumping in Mechelen.
